With Mother’s Day just around the corner, we thought we’d put together a list of our favourite candles that we think would make a wonderful gift. We love the idea of gift giving even if it’s only a small gesture, and we particularly love a gift that lasts a little longer than a box of chocolates or a bunch of flowers such as a delicious smelling candle. The scents we’ve chosen are light and floral, but we've also suggested a few fruity options too, a perfect accompaniment to these brighter spring days on the horizon:
Tea Rose by Noble Isle - A pure and charming scent, with all the grace and finesse of a London afternoon tea, steeped in black tea leaves and English rose petals, and blended with refreshing notes of jasmine, bergamot and clary sage.
Florio by Ortigia Sicilia - A signature palm and gattopardo-printed jar of pale blue wax, rich with the natural essence of Sicilian spring flowers - hints of narcissus, wild iris and jasmine.
The Coin by Sophie James Mayfair -
A green, fruity and woody fig fragrance with green floral hints. The Coin represents the expense of figs and dried fruit in the 15th century. It has been said that a banquet for the rich required twelve baskets each of figs, raisins, prunes, and dates. These fruits were highly sought after because of their sweetness in an age when sugar was an even more expensive commodity.
Tuberose by Geodesis - A floral suave and elating scent. The tuberose is a flower originating from Central America. A lovely exotic fragrance that is slightly stronger than your typical rose scent.
Lime di Sicilia by Ortigia Sicilia - A candle full of the natural essence of zesty lime tree perfume. A classic Sicilian scent - fresh and young yet complex. A great alternative to a floral candle. This is a wonderfully uplifting fragrance with a delicate underlying scent of spice. We are also love the unusual vibrant colour of the wax.
